At Tshikwalo Game Lodge, our Weekend Wedding Experience offers couples the opportunity to exclusively reserve the venue and celebrate across a full wedding weekend.
Set in the Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve, this experience allows you and your guests to arrive, settle in, and celebrate from Friday through Sunday — surrounded by bushveld views, wildlife, and complete privacy.

Exclusive weekend access
When you book a weekend wedding, you reserve:
- Exclusive use of the wedding venue
- Access to the lodge from Friday 14:00 until Sunday 10:00
- Full support from our wedding coordination and operational team
Your celebration becomes a shared weekend experience — not just a single-day event.
The weekend flow
Friday – Arrival & Welcome
- Guest check-in from 14:00
- Optional pre-wedding dinner in one of our bomas, restaurant, or garden setting
- Full bar service provided (no external food or alcohol permitted)
Wedding Day
- Morning breakfast served at Klein Tambotie Restaurant
- Bridal Suite available from 08h00
- Dedicated Groom’s Suite with private amenities
- Chapel ceremony with seating and podium provided
- Canapés served at Tambotie Venue
- Reception in our hall with long wooden tables and cross-back chairs
The reception venue closes at 23h30, after which guests may continue at the sunset boma (subject to lodge regulations).
Accommodation
Tshikwalo Lodge offers:
- 46 rooms accommodating up to 90 guests
- Breakfast included for overnight guests
- Structured room allocation via a rooming list
Alternative nearby accommodation options are available if required.
Safari Game Drives
For guests staying Friday and Saturday evenings:
- Guided safari game drives are included (subject to booking and availability)
- Friday afternoon and Saturday morning time slots available
This allows your wedding weekend to fully embrace the bushveld experience.

Our weekend weddings offer three catering styles:
- Buffet
- Family Style
- Plated
A Harvest Table forms part of the wedding flow (compulsory depending on selected package).

Bar Options
Couples may choose between:
- Open Bar
- Limited Bar
- Cash Bar
Corkage policies apply to wine and sparkling wine only.
No external alcohol permitted.
