TSHIKWALO GAME LODGE IS SITUATED IN DINOKENG GAME RESERVE
Tshikwalo Game Lodge is situated within the malaria-free Dinokeng Game Reserve - the first free-roaming Big-5 game reserve in Gauteng that offers an amazing African bush experience for local and international visitors. The name of the lodge originated from the Monkey thorn (Acacia galpinii) tree, or Tshikwalo, as it is known in Venda. This beautiful specimen is known to provide dappled shade, a true reflection what you will experience at Tshikwalo Game Lodge. Tshikwalo Game Lodge is a mere 30 minutes’ drive north of Pretoria and a 60 minutes’ drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport and Johannesburg.

Dinokeng | The Miracle 8 Cheetah Cubs
Without realizing it, these cubs have shared their first ‘kill’ together, forming bonds that we trust will carry them as a hunting team once they are released. We are once again very proud of the progress these cubs have made and continue to have high hopes for their rewilding in the future.

The 6-year-old male lion called Samara, named after the reserve Samara Private Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape, which donated the lion to the DGR has been released into the reserve.

We have acquired a new leopard female, 2-3 years from North West Parks Board. Our male leopard (Ziklas) was also placed in the predator boma and a new lion male. Read all about it here
