Tshikwalo Game Lodge is situated within the malaria-free Dinokeng Game Reserve - the first free-roaming Big-5 game reserve in Gauteng that offers an amazing African bush experience for local and international visitors. The name of the lodge originated from the Monkey thorn (Acacia galpinii) tree, or Tshikwalo, as it is known in Venda. This beautiful specimen is known to provide dappled shade, a true reflection what you will experience at Tshikwalo Game Lodge. Tshikwalo Game Lodge is a mere 30 minutes’ drive north of Pretoria and a 60 minutes’ drive from O.R. Tambo International Airport and Johannesburg.

Excellent food and Service

We visited Tsikwalo Lodge on the weekend of the 28th of May. What an experience!! The staff were so friendly. The best was when we visited the restaurant. A very helpful and friendly lady by the name of Tiisetso attended to us. Best service ever, but even better.... was the Chicken pasta. That was the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life. Tshikwalo lodge will definitely see us again. Thank you for a great weekend!
